“Please!” she cried, followed closely by my name.
It was soon after this I realized it’s not all the same.
She continued to sob quietly as she struggled to explain.
“I don’t know what you want me to do, I don’t know what to say…”
I responded with a heavy sigh and a quick glance over at her face.
My silence spoke louder volumes than anything else said that day
She just stared and stared, never moving from her thinking phase.
I glanced over again, just in the nick of time to see her expression fade.
The confusion and confliction, twisting and contorting into pain.
I chose to reach out to her, but by that time it was already too late.
There was no more opportunity to save her, she had already gone insane…
And I live with this every day…
It’s my fault…
And I live with this every day…
I could’ve done more…
And I know this time was different…
I live in a world of letdown…
And I know this time was different…
But there’s nothing I can do now…
I’m sorry…
